iRest Yoga Nidra courses with Melanie Johnson

iRest Yoga Nidra is an evidence-based transformative practice based on the ancient teachings of meditation.

It is an adaptable 10-step process that involves being guided into the healing state between sleep and wakefulness and then being supported to navigate emotions and thoughts and also to access higher states of consciousness such as peace, compassion and joy.

Research has shown that iRest Yoga Nidra has helped to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety and insomnia; deal with daily stresses; reduce tendency for relapse in people with chemical dependency; manage chronic pain; overcome symptoms of trauma and increase perception of quality of life.


iRest courses are experiential and cover the 10 steps of iRest Yoga Nidra. The course will take participants through the whole system of iRest, building week on week.
The courses are of interest for anyone who is generally interested in holistic health and wellbeing, mind-body healing practices.
They are also for anyone who wants to develop their ability to generally manage and master their thoughts and emotions.
There are no physical requirements to the practice, you can either lie down or sit in a chair or on the floor, whichever is most comfortable.

A workbook will be provided and also audio recordings that can be used to work with between sessions (or following the course).
